Tuesdau Talk: Tales & Textiles of the Sierra De Zongolica
With Carrie Schiltz & Guests
Driftless Fiber Arts Collective is thrilled to welcome Carrie Schiltz, board member for Puentes Bridges, to share about her work with the organization, and tell about her travels visiting families in Veracruz, Mexico. Carrie (and guests!) will also discuss and provide examples of textile traditions from the Area. Join us for free starting at 6:30 pm on April 14th at the Collective (108 Coffee Street East, Lanesboro MN) to enjoy this fascinating presentation.
Carrie's Tuesday Talk is offered in connection to the Chicāhuac Exhibit currently on view at the DFAC. This traveling exhibit highlights the stories, sacrifices, and strength of six women living in Veracruz, who's families have traveled to work in the United States. Take in Chicāhuac while you can - the show is at DFAC until April 30th. You wont want to miss this rich expression of love, humanity, and family.
Driftless Fiber Arts Collective presents Tuesday Talks, monthly gatherings at the DFAC to hear from local folks about local happenings, initiatives, opportunities, and more. All Tuesday talks are free and open to the public. Have a talk you'd like to give? Reach out to Driftlessfiberartscollective@gmail.com!
